An SLA model is used as a prototype mold master to fabricate either a silicone or urethane tool. This tool will then generate exact replicas of the SLA prototype. The flexibility of the silicone tools allow for undercuts to be produced without difficulty. The casting process replicates injection molded parts and is a viable option for short production runs. As with injection molding, your parts can be textured. These tools can also be used for over molding and insert molding. There are a variety of material characteristics available, including flexible Shore A through rigid Shore D durometers. We can color match any PMS color. We can even produce part features as small as 0.015 of an inch, such as silicone touch pads. Post cast operations available include threaded inserts, post machining, painting, pad printing, laser etching, and assembly.
